Astrid Schrijner

Astrid Schrijner is a seasoned musician with extensive experience in double bass performance and education. Since September 1990, Astrid has been a contrabassist at Residentie Orkest/The Hague Philharmonic and has also served as a contrabas docent. Concurrently, Astrid has played in the Residentie Bachorkest since 1996 and contributed to the education department of Residentie Orkest since August 1990. Prior to these roles, Astrid was a faculty member at het Brabants Conservatorium from August 1987 to July 1992 and performed as a contrabassist with Het Brabants Orkest from August 1983 to August 1990. Astrid's educational background includes studies at Koninklijk Conservatorium - Royal Conservatoire from 2013 to 2016 and Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten from 1980 to 1987.
