Nilofer Tajuddin

Nilofer is an urbanist based in Rotterdam with experience in research, strategic urban planning, city visions, housing projects and policy. She is passionate about inclusive development, capacity building, stakeholder collaboration, community engagement, participation, and communication. Additionally, she has also worked on Public Relations, social media campaigns and exhibitions.

Nilofer holds a master’s degree in Urbanism from Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Anna University in Chennai, India. She has previously worked at design and research offices and collaborated with interdisciplinary experts in climate adaptation, water management, nature based solutions, energy transition, social work, and anthropology. Her experiences have led her to work with city governments, international NGOs like 100RC and GIZ as well as on programs like the Water as Leverage for Resilient Cities Asia.

Nilofer uses her creative background to shape how urban resilience can be envisioned and communicated for better support and ownership by local communities and institutions.
