Eli Gilsohn

Vice President Intellectual Property at Resolution Therapeutics

Eli Gilsohn has extensive experience in intellectual property, particularly in the biotechnology and medical devices industries. Eli is currently the Vice President of Intellectual Property at Resolution Therapeutics since starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they held a similar role at Tropic Biosciences from June 2019 to February 2023, where they founded the IP function and implemented strategies for expanding the patent portfolio.

From October 2017 to May 2019, Eli worked as a Fee Earner at Carpmaels & Ransford, specializing in life sciences. Eli coordinated the global prosecution of large patent families and drafted patent applications in the Biotech and Medical Devices fields.

Before that, they served as the Principal Patent Counsel - Biology at Quark Pharmaceuticals Inc from January 2015 to September 2017. In this role, they directed the Biology-related IP portfolio and advised management on IP strategy. Eli also reviewed IP clauses in various agreements.

Eli has also held positions at the College of Management Academic Studies as a Guest Lecturer from October 2014 to November 2015, and at Webb & Co. as a Patent Attorney specializing in biotechnology and medical devices from January 2012 to January 2015.

Prior to that, they served as the Director of pre-clinical research at Ben Gurion University from April 2010 to January 2012. Eli managed pre-clinical trials for the development of a bone-regeneration matrix and established in-vitro and in-vivo systems.

Eli's career started at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where they worked as a Postdoctoral fellow from August 2009 to April 2010.

Eli Gilsohn's education history is as follows:

From 1999 to 2002, Eli attended Tel Aviv University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.

From 2003 to 2005, Eli pursued further education at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Biology of The Cell.

Continuing their studies at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Eli completed a Ph.D. degree in Developmental Genetics from 2005 to 2009.

In 2010, Eli enrolled in The College of Management Academic Studies and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Biomedical management in 2012.

Additionally, Eli obtained a certification as an Israeli Patent Attorney from the Israeli Ministry of Justice in January 2014.
