Nimisha Khanduja

Nimisha Khanduja, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of STEAM learning and education. Nimisha is currently serving as the Director of STEAM Learning at RAFT - Resource Area For Teaching since 2023. Previously, they worked as the Director of Innovation (Computer Science Program) at Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF) from 2017 to 2023. In this role, they spearheaded the launch and expansion of a new hands-on Computer Science program in collaboration with multiple school districts, leading to a significant increase in participation of female and ethnic minority students. Nimisha also established strategic partnerships with renowned organizations such as Google, Cisco, and Code.org. Prior to this, Nimisha worked as a Program and Technology Manager at 49ers STEM Leadership Institute and as a Program Manager at Elevate[M]. Nimisha also co-founded Tilify in 2016 and served as the STEM Program Lead at BGCP from 2014 to 2016.

Nimisha Khanduja, PhD, earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Virginia Tech. Nimisha pursued their doctoral studies at Virginia Tech from 2008 to 2013.
