Justine Sullivan has a diverse work experience, starting as an Editorial Intern at Chicago Magazine in 2008. Justine then worked as a Legislative Associate/Editor at the American Bar Association from 2009 to 2010, where they increased readership of the ABA Washington Summary by 60%. In 2011, Justine became the Executive Pastry Chef at 1789 Restaurant, managing a staff and creating original desserts for the menu.

From 2012 to 2013, Justine was a Social Media Fellow at Oceana, where they managed various social media platforms and successfully grew their follower count. At the United Nations Foundation, where they worked from 2013 to 2019 as a Senior Manager, Digital Media and Communications, Justine led in-person and digital events on climate change, including events with notable figures such as John Kerry and Jane Goodall.

In 2019, Justine joined Earth Day Network as the Director of Communications and Digital Media, establishing strategic partnerships and executing communication strategies to achieve campaign goals. Currently, they are the Director of Communications at Resources for the Future, where they lead the planning and execution of products and events to communicate the institution's priorities and expertise, resulting in increased media coverage and engagement. Justine also played a key role in hosting events at COP27 in Egypt.
