Donjeta Sahiti

Special Assistant to the President at RespectAbility

Donjeta Sahiti is the Special Assistant to the President at RespectAbility, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to fight stigmas and advance opportunities so people with disabilities can fully participate in all aspects of community.

Sahiti earned her Master’s in Public Administration from Seton Hall University. She previously interned at Senator Cory Booker’s Office and for the nonprofit organization JESPY House. Her experiences have inspired her to enter the nonprofit field because it is where she feels she can make the greatest change in society moving forward.

Sahiti is excited about being a part of the RespectAbility team where she brings her invaluable skills and passions around how a nonprofit organization is run, from top to bottom, to ensure maximum positive social impact and mission achievement. She understands the importance of entrepreneurial stewardship to a nonprofit organization. She is also passionate around opportunities for people with disabilities and is a member of the disability community herself.

Sahiti lives by Aristotle’s quote, “It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.” She believes that high quality education is a human right and not a privilege. She believes that education is the key to empowerment and kindness is the path towards impact.
