Tammie Wessels

Tammie Wessels has over 20 years of experience in human resources and has held various roles throughout their career. Tammie is currently working as the Vice President of People & Culture at Response Biomedical Corp. Prior to that, they operated their own HR consulting business called Wessels HR, where they provided strategy, leadership, and training to organizations in need of developing their people and culture programs. Tammie has also worked as a Senior Human Resources Consultant at Vertical Bridge HR, TPD Workforce & HR Solutions, and Verita HR Services. In addition, they have held leadership positions at Townline and Safeway Canada, where they were responsible for talent attraction, retention, and development, HR systems and administration, compensation and benefits, and employee engagement initiatives. Tammie has extensive experience in building HR infrastructure, implementing HRIS systems, and leading HR teams. Tammie is known for their strong relationship-building skills and their ability to adapt to the specific needs of each client.

Tammie Wessels holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of British Columbia and a Business Administration Certificate in Human Resources Management from Langara College. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Excelerator Mastery, Creating Exponential Value for the Coachee, Excelerator Essentials, Diversity Recruiting, Fair and Effective Interviewing for Diversity and Inclusion, Inclusive Leadership, Dare to Lead Trained, Mental Health First Aid - Basic Certification, Frontline Leadership Facilitator, and is a Full Member of SHRM and CPHR BC & Yukon.
