Aminah Yoba

Aminah Yoba has diverse work experience spanning several industries. Aminah is currently serving as the Vice President of Philanthropy at RestoringVision since December 2020. Prior to that, from September 2019 to November 2020, they worked as the Director of Institutional and Major Gifts at Breaking Ground.

From January 2016 to September 2019, Aminah held the role of Development Officer at VisionSpring, a global social enterprise. In this position, they worked closely with the Founder and President to raise funds and manage donor relationships. Aminah was responsible for resource mobilization, donor cultivation, stewardship, proposal development, and reporting.

Before VisionSpring, Aminah worked at the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone Development Corporation from April 2004 to December 2015. As a Program Officer, they played a crucial role in cultivating grant recipients for the organization's Cultural Industry Investment Fund. Aminah managed a diverse portfolio of grants and oversaw the grant-making process, including reviewing applications, preparing proposals, and monitoring grantees' progress.

Prior to their work at the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone Development Corporation, Aminah gained marketing experience as a Marketing Manager at 4th and Short Distribution from February 2001 to January 2003. Aminah then transitioned to the role of Post Production Manager/Business Manager at First Edition Composite Inc. from July 1990 to January 2001, managing the daily operations of a post-production and sound design studio.
