Special Projects And Corporate Accounts at Retail Data Systems

Don Gunter has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Don started their career at ICI Americas as a Senior Chemical Process Technician, where they gained experience in chemical analysis, equipment startup and shutdown, and HAZMAT response. Don then worked at Superior Systems Inc as a System Engineer, Programmer, and POS Training and Support Specialist, where they implemented and customized the StoreNext ISS45 POS system.

After that, Gunter served in the Louisiana Army National Guard as a Construction Squad Supervisor, gaining skills in project management, heavy equipment operation, and combat engineering. Don received several awards and medals for their exceptional service.

Following their military service, Gunter worked at Cash Register Services, INC as a Senior Software Engineer and POS Support Specialist, where they designed and implemented payment features for a retail system. Don also developed utilities and software packages for customers.

Don then became an Owner Operator at G-kyu Tech, specializing in contract and consulting work for point of sale companies in the Grocery Retail Industry. Gunter's expertise included various programming languages and customization of payment systems interfaces.

Next, Gunter worked at Lucky's Market as a Programmer/Analyst, responsible for integrating sales data into the company's dashboard. Don also became a Senior Software Engineer/Operations Manager at Market Master, where they oversaw software engineering projects.

Gunter's experience continued at Software & Services, LLC as a Programmer, despite the company being acquired by I3 Verticals. Don then joined TDP Group, LLC as part of the Special Projects team during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on providing meals to those in need. Currently, Gunter works at Retail Data Systems, handling special projects and corporate accounts related to grocery outlets' point of sale systems.

Don Gunter's education history begins with their attendance at East Ascension High School from 1984 to 1986, where they pursued general studies. Following this, they enrolled at Louisiana State University from 1986 to 1988, studying mechanical engineering without obtaining a degree. In 1987, they also attended the U.S. Army Engineering School and successfully completed an associate's degree in combat construction and engineering. Later in 1989, they attended the U.S. Army NCO Academy for leadership training. In addition to their formal education, Gunter obtained certifications such as Certified Novel Administrator and Industrial Fire Fighting from LSU Continuing Education, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
