Indra Nooyi

Advisor at Rethink Food

Indra Nooyi was born on October 28, 1955, in Chennai, India. After graduating from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta in 1976, they joined the Boston Consulting Group. In 1978, they moved to the United States to attend Yale School of Management, where they earned their MBA.

Nooyi began their career at PepsiCo in 1994, serving as the company's president and chief financial officer. In 2006, they were named chairman of the board and CEO, a position they held until 2019. Under their leadership, PepsiCo experienced significant growth, becoming one of the world's largest food and beverage companies.

In 2019, Nooyi stepped down as chairman and CEO of PepsiCo and took on the role of advisor at Rethink Food, a non-profit organization that is working to create a more sustainable food system.

Indra Nooyi's educational career began with a Bachelor of Science from Madras Christian College. Indra then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Finally, they earned a Master in Public and Private Management from Yale School of Management.
