Christine Cerqueira Gaspar

Christine Cerqueira Gaspar currently serves as the Interim Executive Director at the RETI Center, beginning in October 2024. Previously, Gaspar was the Executive Director of the Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP) from August 2009 to September 2022, where collaboration with designers and community organizations focused on creating educational tools to address complex social issues. Additional experience includes roles as Faculty for the Design Futures Student Leadership Forum, Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute, and Instructor at Parsons School of Design. Earlier career highlights involve serving as Assistant Director at Gulf Coast Community Design Studio, Architectural Designer at Stern McCafferty Architects, and Planner at Goody Clancy, among other positions. Gaspar holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Brown University.
