Karim N. Jamal

Karim N. Jamal, MD, is a highly experienced vitreoretinal surgeon currently serving at Retinal Consultants of Arizona since July 2009 and as a faculty physician at Banner - University Medical Center since February 2016. In addition, Karim holds the position of Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Southern California. Previously, Karim was the Chairman of the Aga Khan Health Board for the Western Region from July 2012 to June 2015, overseeing healthcare teams and initiatives aimed at improving community health. Karim's extensive training includes a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Texas Retina Associates and a residency in ophthalmology at Case Western Reserve University, following an MD obtained at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a BA from Rice University.
