The Role

We are looking to expand our team with experienced Bookkeepers who can support the ongoing bookkeeping and payroll processing needs for our SME clients. You'll act as the primary liaison for your allocated clients, and manage queries and bookkeeping tasks, supported by a team of junior accountants and offshored bookkeeping staff. Key Responsibilities

  • Providing Xero bookkeeping services for a wide range of SME clients, including general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and the management of accounts payable and receivable
  • Processing client's payroll using Xero Payroll
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure that all necessary financial records are up-to-date and accurate
  • Delegate and oversee some of your work to junior bookkeepers, providing mentoring and guidance where required to ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned workloads
  • Responding to any queries, escalating where necessary to ensure a timely and accurate response
  • Ensuring our clients have an exceptional experience in every interaction
  • Providing support to clients in the use of accounting software tools and systems

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years experience in bookkeeping roles, ideally within a public practice environment or dealing with multiple clients
  • Experience with BAS/IAS, end of month journals and Asset Register maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience delegating and reviewing work completed by junior or offshored staff
  • Proficiency working with Xero, Xero Payroll and knowledge of other accounting software tools.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, ensuring you provide exceptional service to clients
  • A strong ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Great written and verbal communication skills

Salary 

  • $80k - $95k + super salary (depending on relevant experience)
