Willem Beeson

Willem Beeson is a software engineer with experience in both industry and academia. Willem began their career as a Software Engineer IV at Elsevier in 2018. In 2015, they began working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Student Research Associate at Villanova University, where they were responsible for progress updates, research and experimentation with potential features, and development of an iPad app to control cave automatic virtual environment (CAVE) programs and environments. Willem also created a variety of projects for the Department of Computing Sciences and developed an archive image library for department outreach programs. In 2022, they joined Retrium as a Software Engineer.

Willem Beeson completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Villanova University in 2018. In 2017, they also studied Japanese Language at Sophia University. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Drexel University, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
