Swathi Karthikeyan

Swathi Karthikeyan Ph.D. is a distinguished gene therapy scientist currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Retro Biosciences since April 2023, where efforts focus on developing precision medicine for aging and aging-related diseases. Responsibilities include leading high-throughput functional genomics programs and spearheading gene therapy developments for blood and immune cell rejuvenation. Previously, Swathi was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University School of Medicine, concentrating on immunotherapeutic targets in breast cancer. A Doctoral Student at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, research centered on intratumor genetic heterogeneity in breast cancer. Swathi's early experience includes roles as a Research Assistant and Graduate Student at Johns Hopkins University, with a Master's in Biotechnology and a Bachelor's in Industrial Biotechnology from Anna University Chennai.
