Jennica Derksen

Senior Environment Artist at Retro Studios

Jennica Derksen has been working in the video game industry since 2009. Jennica began as an Art Intern at Spark Unlimited, followed by an Environment Art Intern at Neverdie Studios. In 2010, they were a Contract Environment Artist at Liquid Entertainment and an Associate Environment Artist at Vigil Games. From 2012 to 2015, they were a 3D Artist at Digital Extremes. Since 2015, they have been a Senior Environment Artist at Arkane Studios, where they collaborated with the architect team to bring 3D concepts and gray box block outs to final game ready art, developed and maintained a stylized Substance library of materials, tools and generators, and partnered with the design team to execute game ideas and realize narrative and gameplay intention. In 2019, they began working as a Senior Environment Artist at Retro Studios.

Jennica Derksen attended Claremont McKenna College from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in History & Legal Studies. Jennica then attended The Art Institute of California-Los Angeles from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Game Art & Design.
