Marina Czarnecki

Lighting Artist at Retro Studios

Marina Czarnecki has over 10 years of work experience in the creative industry. Marina began their career in 2011 as a Fabrics Intern for Duralee Fabrics. In 2013, they worked as a Personal Care Assistant for Ringling College of Art and Design. In 2014, they worked as a CG Generalist and Concept Artist for Ringling College of Art and Design, creating an animated short film entitled "Sweet Tooth". Marina also worked as a Designer for Ringling College of Art and Design, working directly with Sarasota County Channel and Sarasota Police Department. In 2017, Marina began working as a Freelance 3D Artist for Psyop and as a Texture Artist and Character Designer and Visual Development Artist for Freelance. In 2018, they worked as a 3D Artist for Jam City and in 2020, they worked as a Freelance 3D Artist for Psyop. Currently, Marina is working as a Lighting Artist for Retro Studios.

Marina Czarnecki has a comprehensive education history. Marina received an Advanced Regents Diploma from West Islip High School in 2009-2012. Marina then attended the Fashion Institute of Technology for a Summer Intensive Workshop in Figure Drawing in 2011. From 2012-2016, they attended Ringling College of Art and Design, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Computer Animation. From 2017-2018, they attended Concept Design Academy for Gouache Color Study with Peter Chan and Sketching for Character Design with Jesse Aclin. In 2020, they attended Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Games + Animation for Texturing and Shading 2, Expressions and Scripting (MEL and Python). Marina also participated in Women in Animation: Mentorship Circle in 2020, studying Surfacing for Animation.
