User Interface Artist at Retro Studios

Nina Morris has a wealth of experience in user interface and product design. In 2022, they began their role as a User Interface Artist at Retro Studios. Prior to that, they were a Co-Founder & Product Designer at Mindfully in 2020, where they created a Google Chrome extension and website to encourage shoppers to use their purchasing power. In 2021, they were a UI Designer at Fantasy, where they collaborated with designers, developers, and teams to explore user interface solutions and produce flows for enterprise and consumer applications. Nina also worked as a Visual Designer at Microsoft in 2021. In 2019, they were a Graphic Designer at VT PRISM, where they created social media graphics, campaigns, and identities with cross-disciplinary organization members. Nina also worked as a User Experience Designer + Motion Graphics at Hokienauts, where they designed and created spacesuit information displays in an augmented reality environment. In 2020, they were a Product Designer at WillowTree, where they collaborated with Product Designers, Growth Managers, and clients to conduct comprehensive research and build upon existing brands. Nina also worked with Facebook Campus and Whalar for a national marketing campaign aimed at college students. Additionally, they were a Product Design Fellow at urspace in 2020, where they worked cross-functionally within a team of engineers and PMs. Lastly, in 2020, they were a Graphic Designer at FourDesign, a faculty-led, student-run design studio in the School of Visual Arts at Virginia Tech, where they worked with clients to create strategy-based branding and marketing materials.

Nina Morris attended John Tyler Community College from 2015 to 2017 and obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Design and Visual Communications, General. Nina then attended Virginia Tech from 2017 to 2021 and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. Additionally, they have obtained an Adobe Certified Associate Visual Design Specialist certification in Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop from Adobe.
