Kimberly Young Walker, Ph.D. has an extensive work experience in various educational and strategic roles. Kimberly currently serves as the Vice President of Government Strategy at ReUp Education. Prior to that, they were an Adjunct Faculty member at Benedict College.
Dr. Walker founded and led The Assessment Team, where they identified and recruited organizations for services such as survey design, assessment, and strategic planning. Kimberly also designed survey questions and formatting for clients.
Kimberly was also a Program Director at UIDP, where they wrote grants and led the HBCU Initiative to engage Historically Black Colleges and Universities for research collaborations with industry and government agencies.
As the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at the South Carolina Technical College System, Dr. Walker led curricular changes and updates for sixteen colleges, supervised the administration of Career and Technical Education processes, and ensured compliance with the REACH Act.
At the University of South Carolina Upstate, they served as the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Compliance, providing leadership for academic program assessment and strategic planning. Kimberly also led a team and managed budgets for survey design and the transition of the general education program.
Dr. Walker has also worked as an Instructor in educational programs at North Greenville University and Webster University, where they taught courses in qualitative research methodology and other subjects.
Their work experience also includes roles as an Academic Program Assessment Manager at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville and as an Academic Program Manager at the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education.

Kimberly Young Walker, Ph.D., completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina in 2010. Kimberly then pursued a Masters of Education degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College (SC) from 2010 to 2011. In 2015, they obtained their Doctorate in Leadership Studies from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
