Zainah El-Haroun

Zainah El-Haroun is a multimedia journalist at Reuters News Agency since August 2020, with additional experience as an editorial assistant for the Jerusalem Quarterly Journal since November 2019. Prior roles include serving as the Youth and Children's Coordinator at Refugee Action York and as a key worker for Connecting Opportunities at The Children's Society. Zainah has also worked as an English Second Language Teacher at IQBar Limited and held various volunteer positions, including representation and communication volunteer at York Racial Equality Network. Zainah has a Bachelor’s Degree in Politics focused on the MENA region from Durham University and has pursued further education in International Human Rights Law and Modern Standard Arabic. Zainah also contributed as a trustee for the Durham Palestine Educational Trust and gained experience as a trainee reporter at Palestine TV.
