Pesha Magid

Pesha Magid is a correspondent at Reuters, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Pesha served as a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia Journalism Review from September 2022 to May 2023 and was a graduate student at Columbia University from September 2021 to May 2022, earning a Master of Arts in Journalism. Pesha's journalism experience includes reporting for Mada Masr from November 2014 to November 2016, serving as a writer and researcher for Your Middle East in the summer of 2014, and working as a reporter/researcher at The Cairo Review from March to September 2013. Previous internships include Egypt Today, Tunisia Live, and the Overseas Press Club of America, where responsibilities ranged from writing and editing articles to organizing files and invoices. Pesha also holds a Master’s degree in Arabic and Modern Middle Eastern History from the University of Edinburgh, completed in 2013.
