Dori Bishara has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dori has held various roles in different industries, showcasing their adaptability and versatility.
Starting in 2001, Dori worked as a Senior Supervisor at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art for four years. Dori then moved on to the Portland Art Museum in 2005, where they served as a Retail Sales Manager for four years as well.
In 2009, Dori joined the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site as a Retail Sales Manager, contributing to the site's operations for a year.
In 2011, Dori transitioned into the role of an Independent Sales Rep at Nolita Home & Beauty, representing multiple lifestyle products and assisting store owners and buyers with their selections.
In 2013, Dori became the Business Owner of The Brush & Barrel, a business they successfully operated for eight years until 2021.
Following their venture as a business owner, Dori joined The Children's Museum of Wilmington in 2021 as a Development Coordinator, responsible for coordinating development efforts.
Currently, in 2022, Dori is employed as a Community Engagement Coordinator at REV Federal Credit Union.
Throughout their career, Dori has demonstrated their passion for sales, management, and community engagement.
Dori Bishara completed their Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Iowa from 1996 to 2001. Dori also earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts with a concentration in Anthropology from the same university during the same time period. Additionally, Dori obtained further certifications including the Small Business Diversity & Equity Training Series from New Hanover County in March 2022, and the Project Management Fundamentals certification from Portland Community College (obtained month and year unspecified).
