Avi Flombaum

Chief Product Officer at Revature

Avi Flombaum was studying Creative Writing at the University of Wisconsin when a hedge fund recruited him to be the CTO. After 4 years writing predictive investment software, Avi started DesignerPages.com, an application that helps tens of thousands of interior designers and architects find and manage over 250,000 design products. Avi grew DesignerPages.com to over a million dollars in revenue over 3 years and then left the company to start giving back to the programming community as a teacher. Over the course of a year, Avi taught a dozen students how to code and got them jobs.So enthralled with code's ability to change a person's life and provide them with a profitable creative expression, Avi started Flatiron School. As the Dean at Flatiron School, Avi has helped over 1,000 people learn to code and find employment as programmers. With an average placement rate of 98% and starting salaries of $74,000, Flatiron School is one of the best investments a person can make in terms of education. With the recent acquisition of Flatiron School by We Work, Avi is excited to continue pioneering alternatives to higher-education that have the potential to change a person's life on a global scale.
