Sourabh Boruah

Sourabh Boruah has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. In 2008, they worked as a Technical Management Trainee at Reliance Industries Limited, where they were responsible for fabricating, commissioning, and scheduling preventive maintenance of petroleum and petrochemical plant equipment. In 2009, they worked as a Project Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, conducting bending experiments on bones of the human shoulder complex and developing FE models from clinical CT images. From 2011 to 2016, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Center for Applied Biomechanics, University of Virginia. In this role, they were responsible for execution and management of human tissue testing, whole-body cadaveric experimentation, and teaching undergraduate level courses. In 2020, they worked as a Research Engineer at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth. Currently, they are working as a Biomechanical Research Scientist at RevBio, Inc.

Sourabh Boruah completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati between 2004 and 2008. Sourabh then went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia between 2011 and 2016.
