As we plan for rapid growth, we are looking for a Director of Sales Training to train and on-board our rapidly growing sales team.

Position Summary

This position requires a demonstrated track record of launching disruptive technologies, comfort in start-up environments, and the ability to work independently to drive resutls. A Director of Sales Training will have proven expertise in training, coaching, and developing sales professionals with a focus on strategic thinking and tactical execution.

The Revelle sales team establishes, builds, and maintains professional relationships with Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists and Cosmetic Surgeons. They are responsible for effectively delivering Avéli’s value proposition, qualifying and opening Avéli centers of excellence, training and proctoring physicians and staff, and driving depth of usage in practices. Our sales team is a group of tenured professionals with a detailed clinical skillset and ability to bring new products to market. Our Practice Managers follow a dedicated sales process, while also partnering with cross-functional teams to communicate current market trends, provide clinical feedback, and report on early physician experiences. As such, the Director of Sales Training will provide strategice direction, insights, and oversee the Revelle Aesthetic’s Sales Training program to ensure maximum effectiveness of the sales team.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Continually assess, enhance, and update all training programs and curriculum, inclusive of product knowledge, new hire training, advanced training, selling skills, business development planning, proctoring, and coaching models.

  • Work cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders such as the VP of Sales, Marketing, and Clinical Engineering, among others, to ensure training alignment with corporate objectives.

  • Strategic planning, development, execution, and facilitation of comprehensive sales training curricula at National Sales Meeting (NSM) and Mid-Year Meeting (MYM).

  • Schedule, plan, and direct all new hire training classes, inclusive of Regional Sales Directors (RSDs), and Revelle Practice Managers (RPMs), to ensure short-term and long-term objectives of Sales and Marketing strategies are met.

  • Partner with IT, HR, Marketing, Sales Operations, etc., to develop and ensure efficient and effective onboarding of new employees.

  • Ensure training resources (e.g., training materials, workshops, modules, etc.) meet all Regulatory and Legal requirements.

  • Partner with Sales Leadership to develop strategical, tactical, and communication plans for field execution.

  • Partner with Marketing and Clinical Engineering to ensure all technique and procedure pearls are incorporated into Device/Procedure & Proctor Training.

  • Partner with Marketing on the development and roll-out of sales tools as applicable.

  • Work with the analytics team to develop and ensure utilization of business analytics to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities within the field sales organization.

  • Conduct field-rides and provide coaching to sales team; including, but not limited to, sales presentations, product information, and role-play scenarios.

  • Budget management and vendor relations as appropriate.

  • Provide support for the resolution of product complaints and/or safety issues.

  • Proactively support organizational goals and objectives, policies and procedures, and FDA regulations.

  • Maintain a professional and credible image with customers, consultants, suppliers, and teammates.

  • Establish and maintain credentials (via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc) to enter and work in hospitals and other medical facilities as required by facility requirements.

  • Manage travel and expenses per approved budget.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • BA or BS; or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 10 years of sales/sales leadership/sales training experience within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or medical device sectors. Medical Aesthetics experience preferred.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales training programs rooted in adult learning principles that drive sales growth in a complex market.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in utilizing learning management systems (LMS), data analytics tools, and other relevant technologies.

  • Proficient in PC-based office applications, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • The ability to excel within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • This position is based remotely, however this individual will be expected to travel 50%+ of the time.
