Shay Thaya, CFP

Shay Thaya, CFP, has a diverse work experience spanning over ten years. Starting in 2010, Thaya worked as an Aquatics Manager for the City of Toronto. In this role, Thaya developed strong relationships with participants and provided excellent customer service, while also overseeing employee schedules and conducting swimming lessons.

In 2018, Thaya joined Scotiabank as a Senior Financial Advisor. Thaya consistently exceeded goals, achieving 250% on quarterly targets, resulting in $24 million in sales. Thaya engaged with banking clients to discuss financial goals and build their investment portfolios.

Most recently, in 2020, Thaya became an Account Executive at Reveneer. Thaya consistently surpassed weekly key performance indicators, achieving 150% of the weekly target. Thaya researched and pre-qualified prospective organizations, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop account intelligence and identify use case opportunities.

Shay Thaya, CFP, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Life Science & Economics from the University of Toronto, which was completed in 2016. In 2017 and 2018, Shay pursued an Associate's Degree in Accounting and Finance, as well as a second Associate's Degree in Certified Financial Planning, both from Ryerson University. Additionally, Shay obtained the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) in June 2020. Other certifications include the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) from CSI in May 2017 and the Standard First Aid with CPR-C from the City of Toronto in September 2011.
