John Kale Cheever

Director, Project Empower (by Revolusun) at RevoluSun Smart Home

John Kale Cheever is an experienced professional with a diverse background in community engagement, renewable energy development, and education. Currently serving as the Director of Project Empower at RevoluSun Smart Home since August 2016, John focuses on climate resilience and workforce development. As the Founder and Executive Director of KULEANA MICRO-LENDING, established in October 2010, John facilitates access to business support and micro-lending for aspiring entrepreneurs. Previously, John held roles in educational coordination, including serving as an Education and Outreach Coordinator at Blue Planet Foundation. John has extensive experience in renewable energy, having worked as a Senior Renewable Energy Developer at Distributed Energy Partners and contributed to various initiatives during tenure at Punahou School. John holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Urban, Regional, and Environmental Studies from Cornell University.
