Russell Davis has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Russell most recently worked as the Chief People Officer at Revolution Entertainment Services starting in 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief of Human Resources, Equity & Engagement at the Hammer Museum from 2020 to 2022. Russell also held the position of Vice President Human Resources at Bet Tzedek Legal Services from 2016 to 2020. Russell has also founded and served as the CEO of Employee & Employer, a consulting firm focused on strengthening employee-employer relationships, from 2014 to 2016. Earlier in their career, they held various HR leadership roles at Oberman, Tivoli and Pickert, Inc and served as the Co-Founder of The Dialogue Consultants, LLC, where they facilitated dialogues on racism and oppression. Russell also has experience working as a Resident Director at UCLA Office of Residential Life and as an Assistant Desk Officer and Peace Corps Volunteer in various countries.

Russell Davis attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Southern California from 1986 to 1988, focusing on Educational Counseling. In addition to their academic qualifications, Russell Davis also obtained various certifications throughout their career. These certifications include the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM Certification in March 2015, the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from The HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in June 2011, the Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) from the City of Los Angeles in October 2004, and the Professional Program in Screenwriting from UCLA School of Film and Television in June 2001.
