Sumit Kar

Sumit Kar, PhD, currently serves as Director of Translational Medicine at Revolution Medicines, where responsibilities include leading two Phase 1/2 clinical assets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute clinical biomarker plans. Prior to this role, Sumit held the position of Senior Manager in Translational Medicine at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals, focusing on biomarker and analytical strategy for oncology kinase-inhibitor programs. Earlier experience includes serving as Manager of Translational Science & Biomarker Method Development at Celerion, where efforts centered on the design and implementation of biomarker assays for various therapeutic areas. Sumit Kar earned a PhD in Physiology & Molecular Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, and Biochemistry from Creighton University.
