Emily previously served as a communications director at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, an organization that paved the way for patient advocacy groups to fund drug development with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. She worked in education policy for several years, overseeing reputation-building activities, digital strategy, and marketing.
