Steve Appleford has a diverse work experience in the field of writing, editing, and photography. Steve started their career as a freelance writer and video producer for various publications such as Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Magazine, GQ, Spin, LA Weekly, and Entertainment Weekly. In 1995, Steve began working as a freelance video producer and correspondent for Rolling Stone, where they covered breaking news and interviewed major artists. Steve also served as a contributing writer and video producer for Revolver Magazine, where they interviewed artists and produced online documentaries.
From 2011 to 2016, Steve held the position of Times Community News Features Editor at the Los Angeles Times, where they were responsible for editing and writing for the arts and lifestyle section.
