Derek Black began their education at Purdue University in 2001 and completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics in 2005. Derek then pursued further studies at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis from 2006 to 2009, focusing on Applied Mathematics with a combination of Pre-Pharmacy and Mathematics.
