Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Molecular Dept at Revvity

Mary Black has a significant amount of work experience in the field of clinical laboratory science. Mary started their career at Abbott Diagnostics Business in 1991, where they held various positions in Quality, Operations, Process Development, and Research and Development over a period of 8 years. During this time, they gained knowledge and experience in assay development, market launch for FDA approved assays, and Quality Control.

In 2007, Mary joined PerkinElmer, Inc., initially working part-time as a Clinical Scientist I in the Molecular Department. In 2014, they transitioned to full-time employment, and over the years, they were promoted to Clinical Scientist II and finally to Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist. During their time at PerkinElmer, Mary gained extensive experience with lab developed PCR assays on multiple platforms.

In 2023, Mary joined Revvity as the Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the Molecular Department, indicating their continued dedication and expertise in the field.

Mary Black holds a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from The College of St. Scholastica. Additionally, they have a Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from the University of Minnesota. Mary has also obtained certifications in Adult First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross and MT Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
