Rebecca Kormos is a Senior Associate at Re:wild, focusing on the intersection of women's roles and environmental issues in a book project examining the impacts of biodiversity and climate crises on women. Additionally, Kormos serves as a Senior Associate and National Geographic Explorer with the National Geographic Society and contributes to the IUCN Task Force on Apes, Energy, Extractives, and Associated Infrastructure. With over 20 years as a self-employed wildlife biologist, Kormos has consulted for various organizations, including the World Bank and IUCN, on biodiversity conservation strategies and frameworks. Kormos holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Stirling, an MSc in Psychology from the University of St. Andrews, and a BSc in Biology from the University of Guelph.
