Ron Renkema started their career as a Team Leader in the Pension Administration Practice at Towers Watson (formerly Watson Wyatt) in 1999. Ron was responsible for managing the effective delivery of services, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining targeted profit margins. Ron then worked as a Pension Consultant at the same company in 2003. In 2004, Ron joined Rexel Canada Electrical Inc. as the Director of Compensation & Benefits. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing compensation and benefit strategies, policies, and programs. Ron also managed the administration of these programs.

Ron Renkema attended Strathroy & District Collegiate Institute from 1976 to 1981, where they earned an Honours Secondary School Diploma. Ron later pursued higher education at the University of Waterloo from 1981 to 1987, earning a B.Math degree in Actuarial Science.
