Chris Hayes

Chris Hayes is a seasoned professional in government relations, currently serving as Senior Director of State Government Relations at Reynolds American, Inc. since November 2017. Previously, Chris held the position of Political Director at the North Carolina Chamber and served as Deputy Chief of Staff for U.S. Senator Thom Tillis. Chris’s extensive experience in political affairs includes serving as Chief of Staff to NC House Speaker Thom Tillis and as a Senior Legislative Analyst at the John William Pope Civitas Institute. Early career experience includes working as a Legislative Correspondent in the Office of Congressman John Linder. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Campbell University.
