Richard Russell

Richard Russell is a seasoned professional in health data analytics, currently serving as the VP and Head of Health Data Analytics at Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated since July 2013. In this role, Richard leads a team specializing in utilizing advanced modeling techniques, including machine learning, to derive insights from extensive health data, assess mortality and morbidity risk factors, and implement multistate stochastic disease-based survival modeling. Prior to this position, Richard held roles including Lead Health Data Scientist and Health Data Scientist at City, University of London, and completed two postdoctoral fellowships at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Richard holds a PhD in Statistics, an MSc in Bioinformatics, and a BSc in Biotechnology, all obtained from Imperial College London.
