Michael Gavin has over 15 years of work experience in the field of information security and enterprise architecture. Michael currently holds the position of Chief Information Security Officer at RGF Staffing APEJ since October 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Information Security Officer at the same company and as an Enterprise Architect from December 2017 to June 2022. Before joining RGF Staffing APEJ, Michael worked as a Solutions Architect at Chandler Macleod Group from February 2013 to December 2017. Michael also has experience working at GPT Group, where they held various roles including Information & Security Architect, Infrastructure Applications Team Lead, and Server & Comms Engineer from 2007 to 2013, focusing on enterprise information architecture and infrastructure management.
Michael Gavin attended the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology from 1994 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Digital & Software Systems. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including SABSA Chartered Practitioner: Risk, Assurance and Governance (SCPR) from the SABSA Institute in 2012, SABSA Chartered Architect at Foundation Level (SCF) from the SABSA Institute in 2011, and OHS General Induction for construction work in NSW from Workcover NSW in 2011.
