Edwin Lyngar serves as an English Faculty member at Truckee Meadows Community College since August 2017 and contributes as a biweekly politics and culture columnist for the Reno Gazette-Journal. In addition to this role, Edwin has been an Adjunct Faculty columnist for the Reno Gazette-Journal since March 2018, focusing on political and cultural issues. Previous experience includes serving as the Public Information Officer and Boating Education Coordinator for the Nevada Department of Wildlife from September 2002 to September 2017, and writing monthly essays for Salon Magazine from 2013 to June 2016. Earlier roles include serving as an Account Executive with A&R Partners and working as a Public Affairs Specialist for the U.S. Coast Guard. Edwin holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University-Los Angeles and an MA in English from the University of Nevada, Reno.
