Mahdi Mahmoudi

Mahdi Mahmoudi is an experienced professional in the petroleum engineering field, currently serving as Sand Control Manager at Variperm Energy Services since February 2017, where responsibilities include client support in sand control and ICD engineering, alongside business development. Prior roles at Variperm include Sand Control Engineering Manager and Petroleum/Geomechanic Engineer. Mahdi has a strong research background from the University of Alberta, where extensive work focused on petroleum geomechanics, including designing a high-pressure triaxial cell and conducting lab tests. Earlier research positions at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette involved optimizing horizontal well performance. Mahdi holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta, a Master's Degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, an MEng from Curtin University, and a Bachelor's Degree from the Petroleum University of Technology.
