David Hay

David Hay is an accomplished FHIR Advisor with extensive experience in health informatics and technology. Currently self-employed as a FHIR Advisor since September 2018, David also contributes to Lyniate in the same capacity. Previously, David served as a Product Strategist at Orion Health from September 2011 to April 2019 and as an Executive Member at Health Informatics New Zealand from November 2013 to 2014. David played a significant role in promoting HL7 Standards in New Zealand as the New Zealand Affiliate chair for Health Level Seven from January 2008 to December 2016. The foundations of David's career include work as an Enterprise Architect at healthAlliance and a Solutions Architect at EDS. David holds an MBChB degree in Medicine from The University of Auckland, where studies took place from 1975 to 1981.
