Ria Sarkar

Ria Sarkar has over 10 years of work experience. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer for Rheaply. From 2017 to 2021, they worked for Amazon as a Software Development Engineer II and a Software Development Engineer. In 2016, they worked as an Application Support Intern for Visa, where they created a dashboard that performed analytics on requests delivered to VisaNet and allowed users to alter which data centers requests travel through. In 2015, they worked as a Cybersecurity Intern for Visa, where they developed python scripts to enhance the automation of the Digital Crimes and Threat Intelligence teams. In 2014, they worked as a Center for Advanced Aviation System Development Intern for MITRE, and as a Technical Engineering Co-Op - New Product Introduction for GE Appliances. In 2011, they worked as a Summer Research Intern for George Mason University.

Ria Sarkar attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology from 2008 to 2012. Ria then attended Virginia Tech from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.
