Amit Chavan

Amit Chavan is a Senior System Safety Engineer at Rheinmetall, a position held since February 2022. Prior experience includes serving as the Lead Systems Engineer - Safety at Raytheon Australia from July 2019 to December 2021 and a Systems Engineer at Boeing Defence Australia between April 2016 and July 2019. Amit's career began at the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, where responsibilities as a Project Aerospace Engineer included ensuring airworthiness for Project AIR5428 - Pilot Training System (PTS) from 2012 to March 2016. Earlier experience also includes an internship as a Mechanical Engineer at Raytheon Australia in 2010. Amit Chavan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, both from UNSW.
