Janae Chaney

Janae Chaney is the Sustainability Director at Rhinegeist Brewery since April 2018, where responsibilities include developing a sustainability program to minimize environmental impact. Previously, Janae held various roles at Duke Energy Corporation, from Project Manager II overseeing a major program with multiple substation sites, to Business Unit Liaison for Fossil Hydro Fleet, where interactions with senior executives were frequent. Additional positions at Duke Energy included Senior Engineer, managing target-setting processes, and Wind Project Engineer for offshore and onshore wind projects, demonstrating a strong background in engineering and project management across different energy sectors. Janae's career began with a mechanical engineering co-op at Cinergy and is grounded with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
