Ronald Haroutunian is an accomplished bassoonist with extensive experience in both performance and education. Currently serving as a bassoonist for the Boston Pops and the Boston Ballet, Ronald also holds the position of Principal Bassoon with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra and Music School since 1997. In addition to performance, Ronald has been a dedicated bassoon teacher at several prestigious institutions, including the University of Connecticut, Boston University, MIT, and Tufts University, since January 2013. Ronald Haroutunian earned a Bachelor's degree in music with a focus on bassoon from the New England Conservatory of Music from 1974 to 1978.
