Sarah Madeleine T. Guerin

Sarah Madeleine T. Guerin is a multifaceted artist and educator with extensive experience in public art, footwear design, and teaching. Currently serving as a Public Artist in Residence for the City of Salem, Massachusetts, since 2025, Sarah also holds positions as a studio critic and adjunct faculty member at the Rhode Island School of Design, contributing to both the Apparel and Industrial Design Departments. With a background in bespoke footwear design through Saboteuse and a focus on traditional shoemaking at the Lynn Museum/Lynn Arts, Sarah combines artistry and craftsmanship. Educational qualifications include a Master of Liberal Arts in Museology/Museum Studies from Harvard Extension School and multiple degrees in Architecture and Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design. Sarah's past roles also encompass architectural design, model building, cabinet making, and stage production, highlighting a rich and diverse professional trajectory.
