Touba Ghadessi

Touba Ghadessi is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of art history, currently serving as Provost at the Rhode Island School of Design since July 2023, and as Co-Founder of the Wheaton Institute for the Interdisciplinary Humanities since June 2012. Ghadessi has extensive experience in higher education, including a prior role as Provost and Professor of Art History at Wheaton College Massachusetts from 2018 to 2023. Throughout a career marked by significant contributions, Ghadessi has designed innovative curricula, secured funding, organized events, and overseen academic programs. Additionally, Ghadessi has been actively involved in various committees and professional organizations, including serving as Co-President of the New England Renaissance Conference and Chair of the Department of Art and Art History at Wheaton College. Ghadessi holds a Ph.D. in Art History from Northwestern University and has been recognized for both teaching and scholarly achievements.
