Ursula Payne

Ursula Payne serves as the Associate Provost of Academic Management at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania since August 1996, also holding the position of Interim Associate Provost for Academic Finance, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives and fulfilling the role of Professor within the Dance Major curriculum. Payne was Chairperson of the Department of Dance at the Frederick Douglass Institute from January 2017 to August 2022 and has held visiting professor and guest artist positions at various colleges and universities from January 2008 to February 2020, conducting master classes and choreographing dances nationally. Currently pursuing a PhD in Dance Studies at Texas Woman's University, Payne's educational background includes MFA degrees in Dance from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor's degree in Dance from Slippery Rock University.
