Nathan Loura is the Chief Information Security Officer for the State of Rhode Island, a position held since August 2023. With a distinguished military career in the United States Air Force since December 2003, Nathan has served in various capacities, including Network Warfare Cyberspace Operator and Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge, as well as technical roles in RF transmissions and satellite systems. Prior to current responsibilities, Nathan was a Manager of Cybersecurity, Risk, and Compliance at McKinsey & Company, and held leadership roles in internal audit and information security at Citizens Bank, United Natural Foods, and CVS Health. Nathan's technical expertise is further supported by a Bachelor of Science in Cloud Computing from Western Governors University and multiple associate degrees from the Community College of the Air Force in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Information Technology.
