Sabina Matos currently serves as the 70th Lieutenant Governor and Chief Program Development for the State of Rhode Island, having held this position since April 2015. Additionally, Sabina Matos has been the City Council President and a Councilwoman for the City of Providence since January 2011. Previously, Sabina Matos worked as the Associate Director for New Roots Providence from April 2008 to June 2013 and as the Administrative Coordinator for Making Connections Providence (AECF) from February 2004 to March 2008. Sabina Matos holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a focus on Public Relations from Rhode Island College, which was completed between 1996 and 2001.
